beach family
i love to take pictures... i love visualizing how something will look in print...
last november, i went down to manhattan beach with some wonderful friends & photographed their family.
dad is an los angeles county lifeguard, so the beach, pier & tower were the perfect backdrop... tying this shoot with the family's connection to the beach!
{as you can see above, things don't always go magically when taking pictures of large groups, but i my mantra has become 'this is life', 'real life'... and i have captured it through my lense!}
this wee one was eager to smile for me, 99% of the time!

{i always take a step back, and observe my subjects --- these photographs were taken when we decided we were done for the day... the kids congregated around dad, and i kept shooting!}
after the shoot, we decided to grab a cuppa at one of our fav places on the end of the pier...
i kept my camera out, and continued snapping pic's...
